Autumn Budget 2025

Well that was fun.

On the back of what has to be the most bizarre, kite-flying, rumour spreading, flip-flopping Budgets ever, the final ridiculous event in this comedy of errors was the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) accidentally releasing their statement, which included details and costings of all the Budget measures, before the Chancellor stood up rather than afterwards.

While this added a greater level of déja vu to an event that, quite frankly most people were already tired of before it even began, the Budget speech itself contained some but not all of the pre-leaked measures, with very few surprises other than some ‘small print’ measures (more on these later)
